How do I go about becoming a boxing referee?

So I think I have this finally figured out, but someone please help me out. I work out about 3-5 times a week. I was doing mostly anaerobic workouts then throw in aerobic for conditioning about once or twice. The other day I was talking to a guy at the gym and he was telling me that if I want to keep my muscle mass and burn fat the best way to do it was to do both, but start with the anaerobic stuff to burn off the food/energy you have consumed that day then do aerobic to burn off the stored fat. So now I work out everything every time. I do a mixture of weight lifting, jump rope, burpies, sit ups, shadow boxing, basically all my anaerobic stuff then I get on the tredmill or go outside depending on the weather and run for 20-30 minutes. Am I finally doing this right or am I still not understanding how it works?
I do my distance running / aerobic work after my weightlifting / anaerobic work. What I am trying to figure out is if doing anaerobic first will burn the food/energy that I have taken in that day and then doing running after burns the stored fat?
I’ve taken up yoga, and although i don’t jump about, when i’m holding poses, my heart rate increases, and i get tired and hot.
I know it’s probably not as benificial as a cardio workout, but how close is it?
Would i be able to do yoga everyday and keep fit and toned?[my yoga session is about 1hr-1hr30mins long]
I live in a small apartment on the 2nd floor and I’m thinking about adding some cardio into my exercise. I was wondering what would be some good machines or exercises that I could do/buy, and at the same time, not cause a lot of noise and distraction to my neighbors? I’m looking for something that’s relatively inexpensive, durable, and most importantly, can provide a descent workout. Thanks!
IS it effective with sprinting gains and such
I don’t mean for dieting, listing calorific content, I’m more interested in the nutritional value of foods, such as vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and fats etc. I’d also like a book that tells you where foods originate from, if anyone can reccomend one I’d be really grateful.
I am wondering how much muscle mass is needed to fight off multiple opponents. If all of them outweigh me by one hundred pounds. should I start packing on some mass.I’m not talking about some Bruce lee movie where everyone is a 110 pounds anf five foot four. I am talking beef fed American meat heat thugs. i weigh 155 and I feel i would not last against two or more 250 pound monsters.Even if I got strong, I feel I might need some weight so i am not easily picked up or ran over . I was thinking 190 185.I am 5′7″ so I don’t want to get too huge.I reall don’t feel that knowing how to do a little Wing Chun trappingnis going to help against someone like Kimbo on steroids. And also its always the giant steroid freaks who lose control and try to hurt people. I am also aware that bodybuilders have limited explosive strength and no anaerobic conditioning. So whats the plan. Should I just train hard and eat a bunch, or do a little bodybuilding. I just don’t want to compromise real strength and
conditioning with too much sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. I also don’t wnat to be a little shrimp and get picked up and slammed or run over fighting three or four monsters.
Okay worse case scenario I am being ganged up by five muscular psychos and have no room to use kicks like Bruce lee , wouldn’t it be better to have muscle mass ,and lots of brute strength.
I have tried short sprint interval training a couple times. I will warm up and then sprint for 30 to 40 seconds, then walk a couple minutes and repeat several times. I really enjoyed it would this be a safe workout of for me to do 3-4 times a week?
I’m a male at 21yrs old, 5′8″, 157lbs. I used to run track back in high school, now I want to continue since my left knee injury which was from 2002-2005. (Left knee is my Strart and Jump leg but I can use my left or right leg to start)
I’ve never trained before and want to know what I have to know for Strength Training, Endurance, Speed, Drills, What foods to eat, etc. I have the technique down.
My times right now are:
100m - 11.36s
200m - 23.69s
LJ - 6.69m
PB’s

I already have calf muscles and have a quick starting in both Block starts and 3-point starts
[jb] I know Usain is way gone.. I didn’t ask you to compare me with anyone, I asked for assistance. For the record, Me and Usain ran at a track meet before, that’s before anyone knew bout him. Competed in the 200m Carifta (Caribbean Athletics Meet) where he first was noticed to the islands. I am from the Caribbean. He had the training, I never did. All I did was run and do other sports like basketball, football, cricket, soccer.
no oxygen availabe = anaerobic condition
I’ve just begun working out about a month ago and I really want to start turning it up a notch. I have started commuting to work by bike(26 miles per day). I have tried stairs, the eliptical trainer and the treadmill. Anyone have any cool cardio workouts that they do ona regular basis that can help me out?
Hello. I am 28 years old, 5 foot 6 and 290 pounds. I am really wanting to try and get the weight off, but one of my problems is exercise. I simply have no stamina. I can jog for 2 minutes easier than stroll for 30 minutes. Obviously I have to start somewhere. I am on a sensible diet right now. What would you suggest to get started? I know it won’t be easy but I am ready to take the plunge. If I can manage to walk for 10 minutes and did it 2-3 times a day would that be a good start? I am as out of shape as you can get and have some sciatica issues but otherwise I am doctor approved to exercise. August 25th I start a class at the junior college where I have to keep moving in some fashion for 40 minutes (they have a fitness room which has weight equipment, treadmills, stationary bikes etc) I want to get a head start so I will be able to do the class.
This won’t count for points as it isn’t fair for the other 2 answerers as it wasn’t part of the initial question, but I did take a brisk 15 minute walk (about all I could do) this morning and I was sweating and my heart was pumping etc and I could live with all that…what made me stop is my legs started itching intensely. Any ideas how to combat this? Thanks!

I am 35yrs old, 5′11 and weigh 190lbs. My goal is to loose weight and most importantly do total body toning. I currently burn about 300 calories(4 days a week) in a 45 minute cardio workout. I also do weight training 4 days a week.
