Fat burning workout is usually around 60% of your peak heart rate while cardio is about 80%. You would think that a more vigorous workout (cardio) would be better for trying to burn fat but is it really?

I’ve heard several different opinions about cardio workouts. I’m basically just trying to lose a few pounds around my gut and love handle area and wasn’t sure if it is better to do a short, intense cardio workout or a long, less intense workout. Anyone know?

I am a 19 year old boy from NY. I began my exercise routine each morning last week.
Specifically, I will be exercising for 5 days a week. I currently weigh 160lbs. I am a 19 year old boy standing at 5′ 8 1/2″ tall. My goal weight is to lose 32 lbs. and I will weigh 128 lbs. MY GOAL WEIGHT and absolute minimum weight on the BMI chart. I burn at least 1,200 calories each day for 5 weeks (about 75 minutes each time). How long until I reach my goal weight?
I really like red radishes. Just the basic kind you get in bags on in bunches at the grocery store. They don’t come with any information aout their nutritional value. Does anyone know what the score is?

My wife just started working out with me on Monday. Free weights, very light, high repetitions. Dumbbell flys, dumbbell press, lat pulls, triceps push downs, dumbbell curls, shoulder press, etc. The heaviest weight she used was an 8 lb. dumbbell. Now, here we are on Thursday morning and the scale says she is 4 pounds heavier. She is depressed because this seems to happen every time she lifts weights. This is also why, historically, I can never get her in the weight room. She isn’t a small girl, 5 ft. 11 in. Sturdy bone structure. I don’t get it. Water gain?
I have read that “flash-frozen” foods preserve more of the nutrients than even fresh, but I find that I don’t feel as physically good after frozen, though convenient, as compared to fresh? Thanks!

When you buy prepackaged meals the nutritional value, calories, fat, etc is written on the box. When you prepare a meal at home, you add many different ingredients. So how do you know how much fat, sodium, vitamins, etc that is in each serving?
I purchased a packaged spicy chicken wrap and that is what was on the ingredient list. It was a white and relatively thin wrap with hardly a taste.
